We’re Chris Carr & Rob Wallis, two London-based media professionals with a passion for food from around the world.
Contrary to England’s long-established reputation for terrible food, London is now one of the food capitals of the world. The city is home to millions of people from all over the world.
Taking inspiration from the work of the late, great chef Anthony Bourdain, we decided to start the blog as a vehicle to meet new people and take a small step into these different cultures and nationalities.
The title of our blog might have some unfortunate colonial connotations, but, in the face of growing isolationist attitudes and politics, we wanted to do something positive that explores and celebrates the different cultures that are represented by food in London.
We hope our exploration inspires people to explore new places, meet new people and remind each of us what a special place London really is because of diversity.
